Calling for the complete reimagination of their 65ft to 72ft mid-range series, US boat builder, Offshore Yachts (now part of the Olson Yacht Group), gave us the brief to modernise and reinvigorate their range for the modern era.

The brief included naval architecture and deck/interior design across four semi-custom models, with Cruising and Explorer versions of each.

Not a revolution, but a modern evolution – it was important to bring about enough new interior/exterior design features and innovations to entice and attract the next generation of buyers, but at the same time, important to respect the values and traditions of the past.

Elements such as having a more vertical bow and longer waterline length, with relatively flat underwater sections aft, were designed to work harmoniously with Offshore Yachts’ already proven deep forefoot and hard double-chine concept at the bow.

Different interior designs neither too radical, nor too boring, are offered by way of either a Classic or Contemporary style interior. Set against traditional plain white, or white with dark wood panelling, the Classic style holds true to the roots of the design, whereupon the Contemporary style has a more orderly and more ‘boutique’ look and feel about it.
